Continental Airline Tickets

Can anyone explain the logic behind this new regulation or how it will make travel more secure?

Airline passengers will not be able to use the rest room for the last hour of flight. I do not see how that will make any difference to a bomber who will simply blow up the plane a bit earlier. I also wonder, if it will take into account that flights often get delayed and have to circle around for quite a while before landing. How will this "hour" be calculated?

4. Given the fact the practice has been blasted all over the airwaves would never cause the terrorist to take it into consideration during their planning. This is beyond retarded on the admin's part. I will do my best to comply and take a whiz before the hour but in the end if I have to wet my pants or their plane I am gonna choose the plane 9or the Muslim next to me if I have the chance)
5. I don't see that it will help. Who's going to monitor that? The flight crew? Yeah, right! 1 flight attendant to every 50 passengers? It won't work. Nobody can effectively monitor that.
6. Comrade Obama has reached an agreement with the Airline Terrorists Union that they will not blow up any flight unless 1) they are standing or walking towards the crapper and 2) the flight is in its last hour.
7. If this rule is strictly enforced, I predict a lot of people leaving the plane with soiled underwear. This is totally ridiculous. You're right, any terrorist will simply use the restroom before the hour begins. The plane will explode farther from the destination, that's all.
8. I don't understand the logic either. This particular bomber apparently went to the bathroom to prepare his device and planned to detonate it right before landing. Who's to say the next one won't plan something mid-flight? It doesn't make sense. Will they eliminate the bathroom all together? To me, these restrictions are grasping at straws. Instead, they should be focusing on Middle Eastern men between the ages of 18 and 35 who are on watch lists, or in this case, whose own father notified the American Embassy of his son's radical contacts. To hell with political correctness - call it what it is - Muslims radicals want to kill all infidels - track them down, profile them or whatever, but keep them the hell off our planes!
9. It doesn't sound like that will make much difference. But, I guess they felt they had to do something. If they had done nothing, there would be complaints about that. maybe they should insist all travelers boarding planes headed for the USA be checked by bomb sniffing dogs or body imaging. But, the USA can't really tell other countries how to deal with their airports. Of course, we don't have to let them land their planes here if they don't comply.

It won't...the TSA doesn't care about the REAL problem, they are doing this to create a false sense of safety, and using the "incident" to grab yet another bit of our freedoms...this causes us to desensitize to being "controlled" in every aspect of our lives...bigger fish will be fried when the noose is good and tight around our necks. As you stated, if a person just uses their critical thinking skills, they will see that common sense dictates to us that, none of these measures (no one can get into their luggage, no one can get up) would have changed one thing this man did...he did not get up, he did not get into his bag, he simply reached down like he was scratching his leg, and lit the explosives attached to his legs...when the fuse flared and there was a "pop", others were alerted and the two heroic passengers tackled him.
15. You left out the part where everyone must put their hands on their knees! These new regulations are a joke it tells me and most everyone that they can't get the job done at the airports so we the people will have to fend for ourselves. I say everyone should just resume the position of holding their ankles since this administration is screwing with Americans safety! Obama plans on allowing the union to vote itself in to the security jobs at the airports for helping him get elected ! Can you see what a mess this will make? Everyone of the security people can never get fired even if they let all the bombers on board!!!! It even took Obama two days to speak to the people and still refuses to treat these terrorists for what they are! Obama got this guy a lawyer already and gave him Miranda rights! The American people should be outraged at this president for his lack of care for the people of the U.S. and their security instead he gives this terrorist a lawyer so he cannot be questioned by CIA or the FBI and he is nicely tucked in at a federal prison in Detroit receiving health care we are paying for and three square meals a day!!!!!!!!!
16. This is soo asinine It blows my mind. Are they going to be giving out a rules list before boarding for those that will comply? Does anyone understand that these people do not comply to anything.
