NObama is now telling airlines how to operate. Does his fascistic dictation no no limits?
"Under the new regulations, airlines operating domestic flights will be able only to keep passengers on board for three hours before they must be allowed to disembark a delayed flight. The regulation provides exceptions only for safety or security or if air traffic control advises the pilot in command that returning to the terminal would disrupt airport operations..." http://www.mainstreet.com/article/lifestyle/travel/govt-imposes-3-hour-limit-tarmac-strandings

- Since your hypothesis is not supported by facts, your conclusion is invalid. Merry Christmas.
- Well Its improve Travel and Accompanied stranded Passengers
- Fascistic dictation? Which is it? You didn't go to public school or you didn't do well in public school?
- I guess if you are a community organizer, you can do anything.
- I don't see anything wrong with passing a bill that give passengers rights. If the airlines do not know how to act perhaps they should be sued a few times for holding people hostage.
- I gather that you haven't been stuck at an airport that is snowed in and waiting for de icing which is about a 2 hour wait by the way.
- The customer is always right. I want off, I want off.
- Barack Obama is not President of the United States, how can he tell the Airlines anything?
- Yes, this is socialism. It's all about the government telling you what to do and when to do it. They think they are so much smarter than the public and they are going to dictate what we eat, what we can weigh, how much we will be required to exercise. It's all coming. If you dont agree and do what they say, they will deny healthcare to you but you will still pay. Very scary, and for those of you thinking it cant happen, did you ever think the government would take over GM?
- Who is NObama? I have never seen a person with two capital letters in their first name. Sorry but who is this?
- It's called the "passenger bill of rights" and it's a GOOD thing.
- I remember a time when i couldnt use my phone because i knew that bush was listening in. By far, that is worse then what your posting there. That is if you want to talk about dictation with no limits.
- Neocon, president Obama does the right thing or would you rather prefer to be at airline's mercy and stay on board of landed aircraft for longer time.
- what did he do fire all the air traffic controllers?
- @Stainless... Be cautious what you ask for... Once again, the libs are fond of making ridiculous laws that address a one in a million event that will cause problems for untold thousands more. Cultural Marxism at work. You want to fix the problem, spend money on airports instead of SEIU and ACORN and nonexistent porkulus projects. Neither the Law of Unintended Consequences NOR Murphy's law have been repealed.
- Again Obama is power hungry and has no freakin clue what he is doing. Imagine the passengers on a flight which has been in line 2 hrs 59 min and is about to take off and now MUST return to the terminal to disembark and then reboard! This will cost airlines MILLIONS which will be passed to the cost of ticket prices. I would rather be sitting onboard a plane listening to my headphones and sleeping than having to disembark and sit in a terminal.
- i saw something about that on the news. I'd hate to be stuck on the plane for such a long time I have to admit Obama is a socialist, thinking he can control whatever he wants! >.< MERRY CHRISTMAS!
- The article says that the two administrations before him have tried the same too. So if this means Obama is a fascist does it mean that Bush and Clinton were fascists too? This actually seems to be a good idea. This benefits you. Or are you too blind to see that?
- Sorry, but I don't take questions posted by racists seriously.
- Nicely offensive avatar, dimwit. And the insanity of what little minds like yours contemplate, as compared to what actually transpired, is hilarious. Oh, simpleton, if you have to resort to "pun" spellings, maybe you should've stayed in pre-school. Oh! You did! And, scum maggot jerkwad, fascism is RIGHT wing. Read a book, if you can, ignoramus. Try Shirer's RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH. You know, it's shameful that subfungal scum like you are even allowed access to computers. Apparently you're not aware, but the NTSB and FAA have been making rules for about 80 years now. Nice to know you simpletons haven't figured that out yet. This is a hateful rant, insane, by the way, and ought to be reported. I won't bother because I do not like to be bothered with scum bags and liars like you, but I probably should. Really, filth like this ought to be banned. What a drip! What color is the sky in your world, hopeless, pathetic coward? You neo-Nazi bugs are supposed to all be in South America by this time of year! Moron.
- Consumer groups had the Passengers' Bill of Rights in front of Congress way before Obama got into office. It was first introduced to Congress in 2007. I don't believe Obama was President then, and anyway, it's a bill in front of Congress, not the President. After keeping passengers on the runway for over 8 hours, in their seats, unable to use the restrooms, with no food or water, and refusing to let them disembark, many airline passengers became angry and demanded that Congress implement rules on the length of time a plane can keep passengers sitting on the runway. Congress. Not Obama.
- he won't be content until he he has nationalized the whole nation is in his quest for Socialism in America.
- How do you like getting stuck on an airplane for over 24 hours? Go through that and see how you feel about that bill.
- Well thank goodness someone has finally stepped up and told them to get right. Air travel has become a disaster.
- I think passengers deserve better treatment from the airline industry, don't you think? Unless you've never flown, you won't know the inhumane treatment airline people do to their customers. My flight to Tokyo was at 11:00 a.m. but didn't leave until almost 6 p.m. due to some mechanical problems. All that time we spent inside the cabin. BTW, the president doesn't supervise the airlines so when you accuse him of telling the airlines what to do and all his "fascistic" (your spelling) "dictation" "no" "no" limits, somehow you've lost me. Have a nice holiday!
- Being kept in an airplane for hours on end without access to food or restrooms sounds a lot more like fascism than anything Obama has proposed. I suppose it must seem like fascism if the only rights you care about are those of corporations. To the rest of us consumers, this sort of regulation sounds eminently reasonable.
