Continental Airline Tickets

Recommendations on cross-state delivery.?

I have a very good friend who absolutely LOVES this indian cuisine at a restaurant in my home city. I was hoping I could bring him some on my way back to college, but the only problem is I'm not sure how airline regulations work and I'm not sure if it will stay. So I guess I have two parts to the question. 1) Can I bring tupperware full of curry onto a flight? If so do I bring it as a carry-on or should I pack it in my luggage. 2) Will the food go bad if I'm spending a total of 6 hours travelling? Sorry, I don't really know where to go for answers like these.

  1. You should take it as a carry-on in tupperware. If possible get some dry ice to pack it in.
  2. if you are going thru customs they may confiscate it. you can get dry ice at most dairy queen's, call them ahead of time and make sure the ones near you carry it. if they don't you might be able to find it at hardware stores or places like walmart. I don't know how much of this you will be transporting, but if it were me, I'd securely wrap it in ziplock freezer bags and then put into a cooler with ice or if you're going to check it thru baggage, then pack it in dry ice or use those gel packs. call your airlines that you are flying with and ask them about this. airports have dogs sniffing away at luggage, and believe me dogs like food LOL also it has to be labled as dry ice, perishable, etc, so find out from the airlines what you have to do. you could also fed ex it to yourself or your friend, (dry ice or gel pac it then) just make sure they are there to get it. dry ice will freeze your food. here is the fedex site for doing this, you can also google: fedex dry ice there are certain things you have to do regarding packing, labeling etc. http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:EhqoWOSOSEQJ:images.fedex.com/us/packaging/guides/Perishables_fxcom.pdf+fedex+dry+ice&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=u
