Continental Airline Tickets

Trouble selecting seats for Continental Airlines Ticket purchase online?

I have connecting flights. Continental airline to United Airline. I purchased my ticket on continental airline's website & was able to assign seats that were Continental airline flights & they were letting me choose a seat for my next flights which were United airline but it would not go through or save on my itinerary. So I went to united airline website but it wont let me assign a seat either. Help!!! It's a connecting flight. I'm leaving June 2nd.

1. Because you did it ()reservation) via web-site, you must call the reservation centre for UA. Unless you have the locator for UA and go to the web-site, retrieve your reservation and select your seat.
2. perhaps you are too early to book the united flights? you don't even say where you are going why are flying Continental one way and United the other way? or is this a connection you don't say have you tried to call united reservations maybe they can help you?
