Is 1.5 hours enough time to transfer flights from Continental to Tiger Airways in Hong Kong?

Our family of four is flying from the US through Hong Kong to Singapore. Our arriving flight is scheduled to arrive at 7:05PM and the departing flight is on Tiger Airways at 8:30. Tiger flies from Terminal 2 at HKG. I am wondering if anyone has experience making a connection to Tiger in HKG. The check in closes "strictly" 45 minutes before departure, at 7:45PM, so that means we have 40 minutes to clear customs and get to T2.

1. I would say that this could be extremely tight, and leaves you very little room if you incoming flight is late or delayed from the US, you are simply not going to make this connection. Your options are to get an earlier outgoing flights from the US, or a later Tiger flight from HKG, or stay the night in HKG and fly out the next morning.
