Continental Airline Tickets

Which has a better reputation, Continental or USairways?

I never really had a problem with US Airways but I found a flight thats the same price but better scheduling fo me...it's Continental. My parents haven't had good experience with it because some how they always cancel flights or delay them. What's better as far as scheduling, service, etc?

1. US Airways has a higher rate of mishandled baggage. Continental was actually voted as best North American legacy airline by Skytrax. What is nice about Continental is that since it is now a Star Alliance member, you can earn US Airways miles if you fly with them. Continental also has pretty good service. The only issue I would have with Continental is that the government is going to implement a passenger bill of rights where if a plane has left the gate and is delayed for 3 hours, they must return to the gate or pay a penalty of $27,500 per passenger. That can be over $3.5 million for a 737 aircraft. Continental said that they would rather cancel the flight than pay the fine. I would not be surprised if other airlines did the same. Only Continental publicly made this statement.
2. Continental is known for better service. Their cabin interiors are usually much more modern than US Airways as well, especially on their long haul international flights which usually have modern AVOD touch screen TV's.
