What are the similarities of maritime and continental air masses?

Homework question for my 4th grader. I am NOT smarter than a 4th grader. Thank you chris , your gonna win. No help from the first answer at all.

1. This sort of question usually screams "it's in the book!" does your kid have a book for this class? there's no way they are expecting the children to know this outright.
2. 1. Their molecular composition is largely the same. 2. Their temperature is largely due to the underlying mass. 3. They both contain water vapor. 4. They both have currents known as wind. 5. They are both mostly transparent (depending on water vapor content). 6. You can fly a plane through either one. 7. We can breath them both. etc.
