Continental Airline Tickets

Delta or Continental Air?

Am flying from Asia to States. Which is a better airline (in terms or services and keeping to time) - Delta Air ro Continental Air? The layover time is short, flight cannot afford to be late. Flying in December. Thanks.

  1. Having a short layover when flying in December isn't a good idea at all. It's a very busy time of year and the weather can cause flights to be canceled or delayed for hours. I would go with Delta, but if the weather is bad it won't matter who you fly with. Fix your layover time now while you can so you won't be sorry later.
  2. Delta is amazing at customer service. Their flights are always on time and they have the most comfortable, up to date planes. I would definitely choose them over any other airline.
  3. Continental Airlines has been rated as one of the better airlines in terms of service for North American airlines according to Skytrax (http://www.airlinequality.com). Delta's service has been inconsistent. Sometimes you get a very friendly crew and other times the flight attendants are flat out rude. As for flights being on-time, I know I have been on Delta a few times where the flight was pretty late. Airlines cannot control delays if bad weather is involved. If you are coming from Singapore, I would go with the airline that code-shares with your flight over to the States. For example, if you are flying Singapore Airlines, United, ANA or Thai Airways, I would go Continental as that airline is in the same alliance. Therefore you can earn frequent flier miles by flying Continental. If you are flying Korean Airlines to the States, I would recommend Delta because those 2 airlines are in the same alliance.
