Continental Airline Tickets

Does Continental Airlines allow unaccompanied minors to fly?

I'm flying from Hartford to San Diego. I need to know if 12- year- olds can fly without a legal guardian on Continental Airlines. If so, how much does it cost per person?

  1. From the incredibly easily-accessible website: Children ages 12-17 have the option to pay the fee and used the unaccompanied minor service or they may travel as adults with no unaccompanied minor service provided. Their tickets cost the same as anyone else's.
  2. Yes, they do allow 12-year-olds to fly unaccompanied. At that age they can either fly under a regular adult ticket OR you can pay the fee for the unaccompanied minor service. If you want that service then in addition to the price of the tickets there will be a charge of $100.00 per child.
  3. Yes, you can fly. You don't need an unaccompanied minor service because Continental does not require it for children over 12. But, you have the option of paying the $100 service if you want it. Have a great trip!
