Air filter replacement question 1995 Lincoln continental?
How do you replace the air filter on a 1995 lincoln continental? I see that there is one clip on top that you need to loosen in order to access the air filter, but it seems to not want to come off. Is there another one on the bottom that I can't see? I'm reluctant to pry it with a screwdriver as I dont want to damage anything.

- Let's see, a '95...There a black plastic box at the front right corner under the hood. On the back side there are two metal snap hooks that you'll need to pop loose, one on each side of the air intake hose. Next, take hold of the big air intake hose and gently lift it up a bit, tilting the lid of the box. Has the lid is tilted, it should slide back a bit to unhook two molded-in plastic catches on the front side of the box. The filter is flat, and slides at an angle into the bottom part of the box. If you still can't get it, go to a full service garage with your new filter, & they will show you how it unhooks. That's why you should be buying your gas at the same station, so they know you & will help with small projects like this.
