Continental Airline Tickets

What do you think of US Airways and other airlines in their flights to Europe?

Well, I'm going to make a trip soon to the Netherlands and I was wondering what your experiences are with US Airways, Lufthansa, Continental airlines, and Air France. US Airways is the cheapest, but I don't want to fly in a crap airline if I can avoid it. Any opinion will be highly appreciated!!!

  1. us airways is good remember they have captain sully (the captain who landed his plane on Hudson if their airline was crappy do you think captain sully would be working for them? Lufthansa especially if you want to practice speaking German
  2. If you want to fly directly into Amsterdam you should get on an American airline or on KLM. Any flight on Air France would require a connection at Paris, any flight on Lufthansa at Frankfurt or Munich. If you book a direct flight to Amsterdam on Lufthansa you will find out that this is a code-shared flight operated by the partner airline Continental..
  3. I flew on a Philadelphia-Amsterdam route like 7 years ago. I remember their service being average, not over the top but not bad. The food was average. It tasted really good when hungry. International flights are very expensive so the cheapest is the best to go.
  4. I prefer Asian and European airlines, although American ones are as good. It is a matter of personal choice.
  5. I would use KLM as my airline of choice as the service standard and comfort (for example inflight entertainment in every seat is guaranteed) is better compared to my experiences with US carriers and they fly directly to Amsterdam with out stops or changing planes somewhere in Europe.
  6. Lufthansa and Air France are more highly regarded than U.S. Airways and Continental but if I had to, I would not mind flying Continental. U.S. Airways is okay but not the greatest, but usually the international service of U.S. airlines is better than their domestic service. I would still fly U.S. Airways if I had to but if you can afford to spend the extra money, it would be nice to fly the foreign airlines. The only problem with Lufthansa is that you fly to Frankfurt and then have to backtrack to Amsterdam.
