24 "Continental" flights were canceled today due to pilots calling in sick. Is it?

Is it a message by pilot union? did all the pilots partied at the same place and got sick?

1. Continental just merged with United Airlines - and some of their pilots have their knickers in a knot because they lost some seniority.
2. Due to system used to circulate the air in planes, virus and bacteria easily spread and are contagious. I wonder how many passengers were also sick and spread the virus and bacteria to family members and friends. This is how the H1N1, SARS and Avian flu became epidemics.
