Continental Airline Tickets

Does anyone know how I can retrieve a continental flight number from 2006?

I called continental and they told me that they can track it back that far but they need more information like a confirmation number or flight number. I called my bank but apparently I didn't pay with any of my bank cards. It was an international flight. Any insight on this matter would help me out tremendously. Thank you.

1. Bearing in mind that airlines tend to keep flight numbers the same for the duration that they operate a particular route, I would suggest you look at what the flight numbers could be for today, and then determine what the most likely flight was that you took in 2006. Not an exact science, but I really doubt there is any other way.
