Is US Airways good for international travel?
I would like to get an idea for what an international coach flight on US Airways is like. Are the economy seats comfortable? What are the economy meals like? Are there personal in-seat entertainment monitors? Are spirits, wine, and beer free? Are you provided with a pillow and blanket? Are the flight attendants skilled at providing comfort to international travelers? Please give as much detail as you have. I would like to know if should book my flight to Rome with US Airways or choose another airline.

- What kind of "comfort" do you expect the flight attendants to be skilled at providing? ;-D The primary function of the cabin crew is to ensure your safety and the security of the aircraft. If you would like to know what services are offered by an airline, the best way is to go to their website. I went to the US Airways website, and clicked on Travel Tools, then In the Air http://www.usairways.com/en-US/traveltools/intheair/default.html Generally alcoholic beverages are only free in Business or First, but it depends on your flight and destination.
- go to www.usairways.com you should get all of your answers. you should be fine booking them. Have never used them for international, but they have been very good when I have used them throughout the US. Most companies know what they need to do to fly internationally. lots of the questions you ask depend on the plane that you get (in seat entertainment, etc.) good luck and have a great trip. m
- They're about the same as any other US airline. You'll get there. Most but not all of their planes have seat video. Booze is usually not free in coach. On the other hand, they're the only airline that flies non-stop from Philadelphia. If you're flying from Phila, a reasonable alternative with slightly better service is Continental. For the same price they'll sell you a train ticket from 30th St to Newark Airport and a flight to Rome.
