If I book a flight where I depart with Continental airlines but then I change to US Airways on a connecting...
flight, will I be charged additional baggage fees from US Airways?
Public Comments
- no the bags automatically go from one plane to the next
- Ask Continental if your baggage will be checked through to your final destination and if they will transfer your baggage to the next/other airline. If the airline says no, you'll have to claim your baggage from them and re-check it with US Airways. Luggage fees are assessed each time luggage is checked. If a connection results in a change of airline and luggage is re-checked, new fees will be assessed.
