Continental Airline Tickets

Which Airlines is best in your opinion AA, Continental, United, Delta, Spirit, US Airways?

Say price wasnt an issue, so you have your choice of whatever you wanted. Which airline and why?

  1. Jet Blue= their cheaper and have more room to move around when your seated.
  2. If price wasn't an issue I'd charter a corporate jet.
  3. Neither. i rather choose northwest airlines as my best airline. My friend's sister actually work for the flight attendants for the western side of usa (so like SFO, SJC, LAX, etc.) cheap airfares all year, though some airlines can be cheaper, but northwest is known for me, as the cheapest airfare all-year.
  4. They're all average airlines at best, here's a good website to compare the airlines you mentioned, unfortunately, almost all the American based airlines have settled on mediocrity as a way of doing business: http://www.airlinequality.com/StarRanking/ranking.htm
  5. Out of the ones you list? Continental. AA is second. Delta and United tie for third. Spirit and US Airways tied for last.
  6. I am a fanatic about airlines, and love to travel by plane. I am going to list the airlines you listed, 1 would be my last option and 6 would be my first choise. 1) United 2) Spirit 3) Delta 4) American 5) US Airways If by any chance you can fly on Airtran Airways, fly them. I LOVE Airtran Airways, and their flight-attendants are wonderful. Their flight-attendants are the best part of the flight. I am amazed by their flight-attendants, and they are also very interesting. Airtran's planes are in good condition, and some of them are less then 2 years old. They claimed to get a lot of new planes. Airtran Airways is the only airline I have flown on so far in my life. I'm using what I've heard about the others to give you this answer. I've heard of people complain about United a lot, but every airline will have someone complain about their service. One person once said online, that he flew on United three times. All three times, they lost his baggage, he said. This can happen to anyone and any airline, but it's his compalint of an experience stating this. American Airlines claims to be a good airline, and I haven't heard much about them. My mom just got back from vacation, and she flew on Continental. She really seemed to like it. They like to make their airplanes stqand out from the others somehow. Spirit isn't too good from what I hear. Some people really don't like to fly Spirit, but I have a cousin who flys Spirit a lot and she loves them. Delta, I've heard good things about. I would like to fly them sometime. US Airways is a good airline, from what I've heard. I want to fly them soon in the future.
  7. Of the ones you mentioned I would say Continental is the best, followed by AA and USAirways. I fly constantly and have quite literally never had a problem on either airline, hardly even a delay of more than a few minutes (I've flown them each dozens of times over the past couple years). United is the WORST for many reasons - each of the last 3 times I've flown them they've lost my luggage each time, been delayed by several hours (the airline's fault), never met a friendly United employee, and generally had poor service.
  8. I have only been on Continental and Delta. I love Continental and I hate Delta airlines. An employee broke into one of our suitcases on Delta, and Delta could care less. Also, they mistakenly told me there was not going to be any food on that flight when I wanted to pre-arrange a vegetarian meal. I got the regular meal even though I could have had a vegetarian meal.
  9. Delta, planes seem to be in better shape than the others. (Equipment is looking worn and shabby!!)
  10. United is the worst all of the way around. AA would be the best on your list. But most of the major US carriers blow. You can throw all sorts of money at it and they still are horrible. Anywhere I fly if I can I take a foriegn airline as they get the whole service thing. Plus the whole frequent flyer thing is better. Within the US I pick Jet Blue hands down. Planes are clean, there is more leg room, service is exceptional at every step and the prices are reasonable. The US airlines though are always seriously in trouble with strikes, unions and bankruptcy. Companies like Virgin America are coming in which portends the death nell of US carriers. Foriegn carriers seem to get the idea..... you have to spend a bit in order to make money.
  11. Out of all of these, I would take Continental in a heartbeat. Continental is the only one of these airlines that still gives a free meal on flights over 3 hours. The service is great and the crew seem to really enjoy their jobs. On other carriers, all I hear is the crew complaining about working conditions.
