Flying Standby on US Airways Under the Employee Travel Program.?
My husband and I are traveling to Vegas on Thurs. 4/3. We have standby tickets through and employee of US Airways. What or is there anything we should do to avoid getting bumped. We have function we need to be in attendance.

- Not much. Show up very early so you can be the first standby names on the list. But, if you really have to be there, you should probably buy regular tickets. We have a family friend who has been a flight attendant for nearly 20 years with America West (now US Air) and she says she never uses the travel "benefit" anymore because flights are always full nowadays, and if you are flying standby, there's no guarantee of getting on the plane. The only way she's able to use it is when she can get on the jump seat (have to be a flight attendant to do that).
