Continental Airline Tickets

Continental Airlines Arena - getting to from Long Island?

I've found directions on the internet coming from the GW Bridge and from the Lincoln Tunnel but I'm going to the arena from the South Shore of Long Island so I would prefer to go through Staten Island and either take the Gothels Bridge or Outerbridge Crossing into NJ. Can anyone help me with directions from either the Gothels (would I head South on the Turnpike from there?) or from the Outerbridge (where would I exit once I'm on 287). Thank you!!
