Continental Airline Tickets

My Continental tires exploded. This was called radial sidewall explosion. Ever heard of this?

The tires were on an Altima.

  1. Yeah it's called a blow-out.
  2. yes it normally happens when cornering alot and hot roads or temp....and due to low tire pressure and the above...
  3. If you have ever scrubbed a curb with those tires, hit a pothole or even road debris, you probably started an internal tear in the belts (the fabric or steel bands that hold the rubber together). Once this starts, it MAY or MAY NOT cause a catastrophic failure in the tire later on. it is a blow-out......time for a new set of tires.....and always replace them in pairs.....2 front or 2 back....avoid replacing only one at a time.
  4. You should always keep an eye on your tyres, they are the 4 things that keep you in contact with the road, move and stop the vehicle... Most important part of a car and always overlooked. Blowouts are often caused by sidewall damage, which is usually noticeable by either a deep cut or gouge, or a bubble in the sidewall. If you see these, get the tyre replaced immediately!
