Do you always put the same brand tires on your car? Or do you change?
I have heard that it's best to keep the sametires that came on the car? I have a 04 BMW M3 with Continental sportcontact tires, but have wanted to swich as of late, I just was not sure if these tires were suited better to the car.

- A high end car like that will already come with good performance tires, unless you are changing rims I'd go with the OEM tires
- yeah you can keep the tires the same. they usually are what the factory recomends for the way the car runs. but it isnt neccesary to keep them origional michilens ar good and goodyear. its up to you
- yea if the tires you used before were good and they didnt let you down then yea i would get the same. but it they were really rubbish tires then i would get totally different ones. If you think the tires are suited for ur 04 bmw m3 then yea switch them.
- Not really, it's just like changing your windshield wipers, make sure it's the correct size. Go to the dealer and they will point out your options for you. Just make sure that they are all the same size. Also depending on your normal driving conditions, buy some that has big tread for winter conditions. If your it's always hot, get some smooth treaded tires. Good Luck, your dealer should answer all of these questions better when you take it in!
- No, I change them. I just buy the cheapest. Keeping the same type of tire does have advantages. -The ride will feel the same. -It will have the same limits with traction in snow and rain so you would drive the same way. With new tires, it might be different in rain or snow so that could be dangerous if you do not know how to drive with different tires.
- Did you like the Conti tires? Probably not. The November issue of Consumer Reports mag listed the Falken Ziex 912 as their # 1 best buy. Bad Boy Tires has that tire for sale for your car fo $112 bucks if your size is the 225/45R18. The Conti's are probably around $180 buck at another online retailer. Or check out the other sizes/types at Bad Boy Tires.
