Which tires are better?
Can you please write a review of your past experiences with this tires: -continental -yokohoma or which tires are good, reliable, and inexpensive.
Public Comments
- continental are probally cheaper. but that doesn't make them better.
- Kumho, you won't find a better tire for the money.
- inexpensive ones usually dont look correct even if they are the correct size ... the tread will usually look narrower is my opinion ... they are usually reliable though and perform ok ... sometimes going to the next larger width, ie going from 225-235 will make them appear more like the originals and not like skinny weeny tires ... just be sure the shop doesnt sell u the bargain basement and actually go backwards on size .. ie going from 195 width to 175 ... they will sell u anything if u dont know what ur talking about ..
- It depends on what you're buying the tires for. Are you buying them for looks or for traction on the road. Which ever you're buying the tires for. Make sure that they gripe good. I like Uniroyal's. They are damn good tires. So are Continentals. Yokohoma tires are for performance. Are you putting these tires on a supped up little car or a big body old school? If it's a little car? Then put the Yokohoma's on. If it's a old school big body? Then go with the Uniroyal's or the Continentals. Either choice for either car will be a good choice.
- All depending on what vehicle you are using them for but I found the Yokohama line by far more superior, the have the least amount of complaints for ride disturbance and you get alot of value for the dollar
- as far as the best for less you should consider: 1. Kumho 2.Toyo 3. Cooper Between the two you listed I would recommend the Yokohama because it is a Premium product!
- I suggest you check out the tools available to help you make a selection on the tirerack.com website (I have no affiliation with them). They have a Q & A that only takes a few minutes to complete then recommends tires based on your answers. You can also read the consumer surveys where people who have experience with a given tire brand and model rate the tires and leave comments. Good Luck!
