What are continental Airlines standby policies?

For domestic flights, not for one pass rewards, but trying to get on an earlier flight. I know they have the same class switch fee for $25 but if there is space aviable on an earlier flight can u go into any class? Thanks,

1. You can stand by for the same cabin only (no, they won't put you in First if there's space there). You know about the $25 confirmed "standby"... otherwise, you can standby without a fee. It's first come, first served, no matter who you are (other airlines go by frequent flyer status, fare paid, etc.)... so just go early.
